APIA Summit Fundraiser

In Chicago this summer, Asian Pacific Islander American performance artists, spoken word poets, and activists will convene for the 2nd APIA Spoken Word Summit organized by Asian American Artists Collective and I Was Born With Two Tongues. Here in Philly we're gearing up for the summit with a fundraiser performance event that will showcase our region's amazing array of Asian American spoken word performers.
All proceeds will be donated towards the 2nd APIA Spoken Word Summit and to help fund travel to the summit for teens from our GenerAsian Next Teen Theater Troupe. The evening's line-up includes: Omar Telan, kontrast, Gabby Callendar (from Mahina Movement), Sabrina Margarita Alcantara-Tan (Bamboo Girl), Giles Li (of re:verse), Hanalei Ramos, Taiyo Takeda Ebato, GenerAsian Next. Yellow Rage hosts this fundraiser which will also feature a raffle of CD's donated by Bao Phi, Kevin So, and many of the evening's performers!
Come show your love for the APIA poets in our region and help kick off the summer in grand style!
